<ul><li>5.0: On 2008-11-03, ActiveState Software Inc. announced the release of Komodo IDE 5.0, which was built-on Mozilla 1.9 and Python 2.6.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:3" href="#fn:3"><sup>3</sup></a></li></ul>
<ul><li>With the creation of the subscription-based ActiveState platform in 2018,<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:4" href="#fn:4"><sup>4</sup></a> the Komodo IDE is now available only as part of an ActiveState Platform subscription.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:5" href="#fn:5"><sup>5</sup></a><a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:6" href="#fn:6"><sup>6</sup></a></li></ul>
<ul><li>Development of Komodo Edit and Komodo IDE was officially stopped in 2022, and the IDE was released as <a href="/facts/Open_source/7X9rCdz4">open source</a> under the terms of <a href="/facts/Mozilla_Public_License/hBuvAz1w">Mozilla Public License</a>.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:7" href="#fn:7"><sup>7</sup></a></li></ul>
