<h2 id="tuberculosis-classification-system">Tuberculosis classification system</h2> <p>The current clinical classification system for tuberculosis (TB) is based on the pathogenesis of the disease.<a class="footnote-ref" id="fnref:1" href="#fn:1"><sup>1</sup></a> </p><p>Health care providers should comply with local laws and regulations requiring the reporting of TB.
