Pointer's career began at Los Angeles' historical Good Life Cafe, a renowned open mic venue. He would practice his rapping every Thursday night at Good Life. He is also a member of the Project Blowed crew that emerged from the Good Life scene. In 2009, he released the album Rejuvenation on Rhymesayers Entertainment.4 It was entirely produced by Vitamin D.5
