<p>Chih-Jen Lin received his <a href="/facts/B.S./9n3gvDf7">B.S.</a> (1993) in mathematics at National Taiwan University, and <a href="/facts/Master_of_Engineering/jdkfl2tu">M.S.E.</a> (1996) and <a href="/facts/Doctor_of_Philosophy/paJumdN8">Ph.D.</a> (1998) in <a href="/facts/Computer_science/lN3pEyPz">computer science</a> at the <a href="/facts/University_of_Michigan/6e1Ea5xh">University of Michigan</a>.
