The CERNET project is funded by the <a href="/facts/Government_of_the_People%2527s_Republic_of_China/wGcnIR4s">Chinese government</a> and directly managed by the <a href="/facts/Chinese_Ministry_of_Education/xE3FwwXr">Chinese Ministry of Education</a>. It is constructed and operated by <a href="/facts/Tsinghua_University/HNwjrEuU">Tsinghua University</a> and the other leading Chinese universities. </p>
