It is community-developed and serves as the successor to <a href="/facts/CyanogenMod/Hha3obgc">CyanogenMod</a>, from which it was <a href="/facts/Fork_(software)/D6khxhpr">forked</a> in December 2016. As of 2023, there are about 1.5 million devices running LineageOS. </p>
