Pascal Konrad Wehrlein is a German and Mauritian <a href="/facts/Racing_driver/0ErdCCV3">racing driver</a>, who competes in <a href="/facts/Formula_E/cP8b0gfb">Formula E</a> for <a href="/facts/Porsche_Formula_E_Team/jGCVLXVD">Porsche</a>. In <a href="/facts/Formula_racing/61ke9LxF">formula racing</a>, Wehrlein competed <a href="/facts/Formula_One_drivers_from_Germany/dG7GKHMo">under the German flag</a> in <a href="/facts/Formula_One/BwdePyWY">Formula One</a> from <a href="/facts/2016_Formula_One_World_Championship/1ICNWLC7">2016</a> to <a href="/facts/2017_Formula_One_World_Championship/VR3pLbHK">2017</a>, and won the <a href="/facts/2023%25E2%2580%259324_Formula_E_World_Championship/6KIkeT7D">2023–24 Formula E World Championship</a> with Porsche.
Born and raised in <a href="/facts/Sigmaringen/f2sqmWb0">Sigmaringen</a> to a <a href="/facts/Germans/F7mBCrJ4">German</a> father and a <a href="/facts/Mauritian/u0ptWaLo">Mauritian</a> mother, Wehrlein began <a href="/facts/Karting/bYyC422T">karting</a> aged eight, winning several regional championships before progressing to <a href="/facts/Junior_formulae/61ke9LxF">junior formulae</a> in 2010. He won his first championship at the <a href="/facts/ADAC_Formel_Masters/kMxlmdPS">ADAC Formel Masters</a> in <a href="/facts/2011_ADAC_Formel_Masters/7Lux9hN7">2011</a>, before graduating to the <a href="/facts/Formula_3_Euro_Series/6ndUkPMx">Formula 3 Euro Series</a>, where he finished runner-up in his <a href="/facts/2012_Formula_3_Euro_Series/xlWhIsnJ">debut season</a>. Wehrlein moved to <a href="/facts/Touring_car_racing/KaXlh2MX">touring car racing</a> in <a href="/facts/2013_Deutsche_Tourenwagen_Masters/jc4nWWxg">2013</a>, signing with <a href="/facts/M%25C3%25BCcke_Motorsport/FLchylVD">Mücke</a> in <a href="/facts/Deutsche_Tourenwagen_Masters/9nfbJcAs">DTM</a>. A member of the <a href="/facts/Mercedes_Junior_Team/VGAE3wCK">Mercedes Junior Team</a> since 2014, Wehrlein signed for <a href="/facts/Manor_Racing/2MhIVf7A">Manor</a> in <a href="/facts/2016_Formula_One_World_Championship/1ICNWLC7">2016</a>, making his Formula One debut at the <a href="/facts/2016_Australian_Grand_Prix/Fh9MI0Nw">Australian Grand Prix</a>; he scored Manor's only championship point at the <a href="/facts/2016_Austrian_Grand_Prix/nTVnj2vm">Austrian Grand Prix</a>, before moving to <a href="/facts/Sauber/CYvYc6sp">Sauber</a> in <a href="/facts/2017_Formula_One_World_Championship/VR3pLbHK">2017</a>.
