Because malassezia requires <a href="/facts/Fat/87HcP11s">fat</a> to grow, it is most common in areas with many <a href="/facts/Sebaceous_gland/HKMXmv1Y">sebaceous glands</a>—on the scalp, face, and upper part of the body. </p>
