Julia Balbilla

<p>Julia Balbilla (<a href="/facts/Greeks/wXwd2xlb">Greek</a>: Ἰουλία Βαλβίλλα, AD 72 – after AD 130) was a Roman noble woman and poet. Whilst in <a href="/facts/Thebes%2c_Egypt/SkdRYU22">Thebes</a>, touring Egypt as part of the imperial court of Hadrian, she inscribed three epigrams which have survived. </p>
