Propane is one of a group of by-products of the <a href="/facts/Natural_gas/9MYQ7NAP">natural gas</a> and <a href="/facts/Petroleum/IQV0bHVd">petroleum</a> industries known as <a href="/facts/Liquefied_petroleum_gas/bw6trakm">liquefied petroleum gas</a> (LPG). Propane and other fuel torches are most commonly used in the manufacturing, construction and <a href="/facts/Metal-working/eAT0Pvz2">metal-working</a> industries. </p>
