Nyanzapithecus

<p><i>Nyanzapithecus</i> is an extinct genus of primate from the Middle Miocene of <a href="/facts/Maboko_Island/9M5xSBIu">Maboko Island</a>, <a href="/facts/Nyanza_Province/yYLpkKGE">Nyanza Province</a>, <a href="/facts/Kenya/Y9Ko9pQu">Kenya</a>. This genus is known from four species. It had an average body mass of around 10 kg (22 lb). </p>
