Flathead congoli

<p>The flathead congoli (<i>Halaphritis platcephala</i>) is a <a href="/facts/Species/oDg6b96r">species</a> of marine <a href="/facts/Ray-finned_fish/3PNaXXmJ">ray-finned fish</a>, belonging to the <a href="/facts/Family_(biology)/qTrn6E8E">family</a> <a href="/facts/Bovichtidae/uGb3GFLh">Bovichtidae</a>, the thornfishes or temperate icefishes. It is native to the seas off southeastern Australia. This species is the only known member of its <a href="/facts/Genus/m8EFjSms">genus</a>. </p>
