The series documents the events of Welsh <a href="/facts/Association_football/yttjeD0D">association football</a> club <a href="/facts/Wrexham_A.F.C./9TAJykvU">Wrexham A.F.C.</a> after its purchase by new owners, <a href="/facts/Ryan_Reynolds/zcQgfBws">Ryan Reynolds</a> and <a href="/facts/Rob_McElhenney/w5ILlrX3">Rob McElhenney</a>. The series received critical acclaim, winning eight <a href="/facts/Primetime_Emmy_Awards/4eAaPW0F">Primetime Emmy Awards</a> and two <a href="/facts/Critics%2527_Choice_Television_Awards/xYlz7hIC">Critics' Choice Television Awards</a>.
