It was a <a href="/facts/Fork_(software_development)/D6khxhpr">fork</a> from <a href="/facts/RSX-11D/aQB8k3f5">RSX-11D</a>. </p><p>The last major release, Version 3.0, began distribution late 1979; the final version, 3.4, came out May 1990. </p>
