<p>The Hammar experiment was an experiment designed and conducted by <a href="/facts/Gustaf_Wilhelm_Hammar/zXfTdhDv">Gustaf Wilhelm Hammar</a> (1935) to test the <a href="/facts/Aether_drag_hypothesis/CsK4LlaT">aether drag hypothesis</a>. Its negative result refuted some specific aether drag models, and confirmed <a href="/facts/Special_relativity/vsFFc63E">special relativity</a>. </p>
