Hod HaSharon

Hod HaSharon is a city in the <a href="/facts/Central_District_(Israel)/eQazK5c3">Central District</a> of <a href="/facts/Israel/dEe3IcaY">Israel</a>. The city is located approximately 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) east of the <a href="/facts/Mediterranean/Vr2pzVbM">Mediterranean</a> coastline, south of <a href="/facts/Kfar_Saba/vmwxSBBM">Kfar Saba</a>, southeast of <a href="/facts/Ra%27anana/apC4Cyla">Ra'anana</a>, and northeast of <a href="/facts/Ramat_HaSharon/ensyw0uQ">Ramat HaSharon</a>. In 2022 Hod-HaSharon had a population of 65,614 and its citizens are nearly entirely <a href="/facts/Israeli_Jews/LfbJql59">Jewish</a>.
Hod HaSharon was officially formed and made a <a href="/facts/Local_council_(Israel)/EkRUFgQl">local council</a> in 1964 by the merging of four <a href="/facts/Moshavot/TKcFXPum">moshavot</a>: <a href="/facts/Magdiel/3A1FkMr3">Magdiel</a>, <a href="/facts/Ramatayim/EXF7ppYD">Ramatayim</a>, <a href="/facts/Hadar,_Hod_HaSharon/EXF7ppYD">Hadar</a>, and <a href="/facts/Ramat_Hadar/EXF7ppYD">Ramat Hadar</a>. The land area of Hod HaSharon is 19.2 square kilometres (7.4 sq mi), and according to the <a href="/facts/Israel_Central_Bureau_of_Statistics/CByUgJYp">Israel Central Bureau of Statistics</a> (CBS), in 2022 the city had a population of 65,614.
