She was editor of <i><a href="/facts/The_Professional_Geographer/YGr1WtRd">The Professional Geographer</a></i>, and is known for developing the field of <a href="/facts/Remote_sensing/pj2crmGs">remote sensing</a> and coining the term "remote sensing". </p>
