<p>Stasander was a <a href="/facts/Soli,_Cyprus/fj45eknD">Soloian</a> general in the service of <a href="/facts/Alexander_the_Great/8N3gLElj">Alexander the Great</a>. Upon Alexander's death he became the <a href="/facts/Satrap/kVKpwGXt">satrap</a> of <a href="/facts/Aria_(region)/bD0lbGUj">Aria</a>,Arachosia and <a href="/facts/Drangiana/v8rFDREl">Drangiana</a>. He lost control of his satrapies after being defeated by the Antigonids in the <a href="/facts/Wars_of_the_Diadochi/QKDGb3Jv">Wars of the Diadochi</a>. </p>
