These have the same dimensions as momentum per volume. </p><p>The units are named after <a href="/facts/John_William_Strutt,_3rd_Baron_Rayleigh/HcJyYdk5">John William Strutt, 3rd Baron Rayleigh</a>. They are not to be confused with the unit of <a href="/facts/Photon/mFNhAEzA">photon</a> <a href="/facts/Flux/Aw3P5Bvb">flux</a>, the <a href="/facts/Rayleigh_(unit)/j4HYQUB5">rayleigh</a>. </p>
