An alternative name, which allowed a different usage with <a href="/facts/Metric_prefix/Y2MzkaeL">metric prefixes</a>, was the <a href="/facts/St%25C3%25A8re/15taqnVU">stère</a>, still sometimes used for <a href="/facts/Dry_measure/VyeyaqsA">dry measure</a> (for instance, in reference to <a href="/facts/Wood/z13NpHPl">wood</a>). Another alternative name, no longer widely used, was the kilolitre. </p>
