<p>Jean-Jacques Daniël Dony (24 February 1759 – 6 November 1819) was an <a href="/facts/Inventor/P3LdUHBY">inventor</a> and <a href="/facts/Industrialist/yqUeQzqW">industrialist</a>. He invented a procedure for the production of pure <a href="/facts/Zinc/80b1qgk3">zinc</a>, and opened a mine in <a href="/facts/Moresnet/8bXWElsE">Moresnet</a>. </p>
