Its design allowed support for the <a href="/facts/C_(programming_language)/Ky2No763">C programming language</a>. TDF is the basis for the <a href="/facts/Architecture_Neutral_Distribution_Format/9q9UQgKU">Architecture Neutral Distribution Format</a>. </p>
