Parecoxib is a <a href="/facts/COX2_selective_inhibitor/UpxLSTyN">COX2 selective inhibitor</a>. It is injectable. It is approved in the European Union for short term perioperative pain control. </p><p>It was patented in 1996 and approved for medical use in 2002. </p>
