He was born in <a href="/facts/Berlin/pMTIRNXK">Berlin</a>, Germany. He was Rector and Acting President at <a href="/facts/Bar-Ilan_University/8YoGjXIM">Bar-Ilan University</a> from 1967 to 1977. </p>
