The Energy Identification Code (EIC) is a 16-character <a href="/facts/Identifier/pPaQPLhj">identifier</a> (<a href="/facts/Code/CSntvnEo">code</a>) used in <a href="/facts/Europe/DTAtrKfh">Europe</a> to uniquely identify market participants and energy resources (entities and objects) related to the <a href="/facts/Electric_power_industry/xwabxdhN">electricity</a> and <a href="/facts/Natural_gas/9MYQ7NAP">gas sector</a>.
EIC codes are used for:
