<p><i>Akarotaxis</i> is a <a href="/facts/Genus/m8EFjSms">genus</a> of marine <a href="/facts/Ray-finned_fish/3PNaXXmJ">ray-finned fish</a> belonging to the <a href="/facts/Family_(biology)/qTrn6E8E">family</a> <a href="/facts/Bathydraconidae/q2tj6w0D">Bathydraconidae</a>, the <a href="/facts/Antarctic_dragonfish/q2tj6w0D">Antarctic dragonfish</a>. There are two species: <i>Akarotaxis nudiceps</i> and <i>Akarotaxis gouldae</i>. They are found in the <a href="/facts/Southern_Ocean/F15W9ADT">Southern Ocean</a> along the <a href="/facts/Continental_shelf/dpgHAR4U">continental shelf</a> of <a href="/facts/Antarctica/bEM5Lem5">Antarctica</a>. </p>
