The company was a pioneer in the field of <a href="/facts/Digital_imaging/nTNga50f">digital imaging</a>, especially <a href="/facts/Image_scanner/7DEJFTwx">image scanners</a> for personal computers. It was acquired by <a href="/facts/Xerox/qyxVVqaa">Xerox</a> in 1988 and folded into their Xerox Imaging Systems subsidiary. </p>
