Kohn anomaly

<p>A Kohn anomaly or the Kohn effect is an anomaly in the dispersion relation of a <a href="/facts/Phonon/tflWW6vw">phonon</a> branch in a metal. The anomaly is named for <a href="/facts/Walter_Kohn/WCQ3DRlI">Walter Kohn</a>, who first proposed it in 1959. </p>
