<p>Ponchitta Pierce (born August 5, 1942) is a television host and producer, journalist, speech writer and communications expert. Pierce began her journalism career at <i><a href="/facts/Ebony_(magazine)/0r2EeRY1">Ebony</a></i> magazine, before becoming the New York editor and eventually the New York Bureau Chief of <a href="/facts/Johnson_Publishing_Company/Qub9zrle">Johnson Publications</a>, <i>Ebony</i>’s parent company. </p>
