<p><i>Zoarces</i> is a <a href="/facts/Genus/m8EFjSms">genus</a> of marine <a href="/facts/Ray-finned_fish/3PNaXXmJ">ray-finned fishes</a> belonging to the <a href="/facts/Family_(biology)/qTrn6E8E">family</a> <a href="/facts/Zoarcidae/Wo7YPKyS">Zoarcidae</a>, the eelpouts. It is the only genus in the <a href="/facts/Subfamily/2QPtfDS4">subfamily</a> Zoarcinae. These eelpouts are found in the northern Atlantic and northern Pacific Oceans. </p>
