Joint Task Force 2

<p>Joint Task Force 2 (JTF 2) is a Canadian <a href="/facts/Special_operations/Sayr6y81">special operations</a> unit mandated with protecting Canadian national interests, <a href="/facts/Counterterrorism/XSzTcfND">combating terrorism</a> threats both domestic and abroad, and hostage rescue. JTF 2 serves under the <a href="/facts/Canadian_Special_Operations_Forces_Command/o4deBzXl">Canadian Special Operations Forces Command</a> of the <a href="/facts/Canadian_Armed_Forces/bxd17dtq">Canadian Armed Forces</a> and is typically compared to American <a href="/facts/Delta_Force/ML1hDKrD">Delta Force</a> and <a href="/facts/SEAL_Team_Six/UNg3CMX7">SEAL Team Six</a>, and the British <a href="/facts/Special_Air_Service/aH7HDFdf">Special Air Service</a> and <a href="/facts/Special_Boat_Service/hh31P5kX">Special Boat Service</a>.
