<p><i>Percalates</i> (from <i><a href="/facts/Perca_(fish)/RmMxhGBa">Perca</a></i> + <i><a href="/facts/Lates/MvbbRoQe">Lates</a></i>) is a <a href="/facts/Genus/m8EFjSms">genus</a> of <a href="/facts/Actinopterygii/3PNaXXmJ">ray-finned fish</a> native to both estuarine and freshwater habitats of southeastern Australia. They are the only members of the suborder Percalatoidei, and of their own <a href="/facts/Undescribed_taxon/SJc3hL5q">undescribed</a> <a href="/facts/Family_(biology)/qTrn6E8E">family</a> ('Percalatidae'). </p>
