The organization aims to promote the values of <a href="/facts/Democracy/3tLdVS1C">democracy</a>, <a href="/facts/Peace/Dcnr9AfJ">peace</a> and <a href="/facts/Human_rights/WMW5XCdM">human rights</a> in <a href="/facts/Africa/XkqQUP9s">Africa</a>, particularly in the <a href="/facts/West_Africa/oV8Dk0kp">West African</a> sub-region.

It also provides alternatives and best practices for sustaining democracy and development in the region.
