<p>Gold parting is the separating of <a href="/facts/Gold/1znknojp">gold</a> from <a href="/facts/Silver/xXe41BGg">silver</a> (and other metallic impurities). Gold and silver are often extracted from the same <a href="/facts/Ore/kgc9DssX">ores</a> and are chemically similar and therefore difficult to separate. The alloy of gold and silver is called <a href="/facts/Electrum/SEDNoRaK">electrum</a>. </p>
