Solutions of sulfide salts are corrosive. <i>Sulfide</i> also refers to large families of inorganic and <a href="/facts/Organosulfur_compound/sUxSSXwD">organic compounds</a>, e.g. lead sulfide and <a href="/facts/Dimethyl_sulfide/mUrg1jol">dimethyl sulfide</a>. <a href="/facts/Hydrogen_sulfide/UbCqjMMk">Hydrogen sulfide</a> (H2S) and <a href="/facts/Bisulfide/xIwK8as1">bisulfide</a> (HS−) are the conjugate acids of sulfide. </p>
