<p>The psychology of programming (PoP) is the field of research that deals with the <a href="/facts/Psychological/duoqW7Sz">psychological</a> aspects of writing <a href="/facts/Computer_program/e38jH9N9">programs</a> (often <a href="/facts/Computer/SQe1aK05">computer</a> programs). The field has also been called the <i>empirical studies of programming</i> (ESP).
