It is a measure deriving from the <a href="/facts/Peres%E2%80%93Horodecki_criterion/23IpfA3l">PPT criterion</a> for <a href="/facts/Separable_state/j0k8VWmF">separability</a>. It has been shown to be an <a href="/facts/Entanglement_monotone/JBhby2Cm">entanglement monotone</a> and hence a proper measure of entanglement. </p>
