<p>Commercial Operating System (COS) is a discontinued family of <a href="/facts/Operating_system/8XTuvMh2">operating systems</a> from <a href="/facts/Digital_Equipment_Corporation/ztxs6keA">Digital Equipment Corporation</a>. </p><p>They supported the use of <a href="/facts/DIBOL/jS8wTBkf">DIBOL</a>, a programming language combining features of <a href="/facts/BASIC/VYMl5TmA">BASIC</a>, <a href="/facts/FORTRAN/m1KqjcMU">FORTRAN</a> and <a href="/facts/COBOL/wVnhqs0k">COBOL</a>. COS also supported <a href="/facts/IBM_RPG/yNSN1Ga1">IBM RPG</a> (Report Program Generator). </p>
