<p>Cyreschata (<a href="/facts/Old_Persian/gxx47Ul7">Old Persian</a>: <i>Kuruškaθa</i>), better known by its <a href="/facts/Latin_language/pM3Kge85">Latin</a> name Cyropolis (<a href="/facts/Ancient_Greek_language/LIK7NlUh">Ancient Greek</a>: Κυρούπολις or Κύρου πόλις, <i>Kyroúpolis</i>), both meaning "City of Cyrus", was an ancient city founded by <a href="/facts/Cyrus_the_Great/0gB7KwSA">Cyrus the Great</a> to mark the northeastern border of his <a href="/facts/Achaemenid_Empire/avlzWxF0">Achaemenid Empire</a>. </p>
