Pyrochlore is also a term for the crystal structure <a href="/facts/Cubic_crystal_system/92Co7BKM"><i>F</i>d3m</a>. The name is from the <a href="/facts/Ancient_Greek_language/LIK7NlUh">Greek</a> πῦρ, <i>fire</i>, and χλωρός, <i>green</i> because it typically turns green on ignition in classic blowpipe analysis. </p>
