<p>The Kylchap <a href="/facts/Steam_locomotive_exhaust_system/eYmnsaM0">steam locomotive exhaust system</a> was designed and patented by <a href="/facts/France/CxIeIKM3">French</a> steam engineer <a href="/facts/Andr%25C3%25A9_Chapelon/B5GSSAeU">André Chapelon</a>, using a second-stage nozzle designed by the <a href="/facts/Finland/G5Ak6T91">Finnish</a> engineer <a href="/facts/Ky%25C3%25B6sti_Kyl%25C3%25A4l%25C3%25A4/IRB9hT2M">Kyösti Kylälä</a>, known as the <i>Kylälä spreader</i>, with the composite name KylChap being given the design. </p>
