GNU Autotools

<p>The GNU Autotools, also known as the GNU Build System, is a suite of <a href="/facts/Build_automation/gWwxNg5K">build automation</a> <a href="/facts/Programming_tool/wWaFqCFw">tools</a> designed to support building <a href="/facts/Source_code/o9J6Jv23">source code</a> and <a href="/facts/Software_package_(installation)/kEX4kx7g">packaging</a> the resulting binaries. It is available on many <a href="/facts/Linux_distribution/0vVl4N4f">Linux distributions</a> and <a href="/facts/Unix-like/YAKrAxzd">Unix-like</a> environments.
