<p>Karol Stanisław Olszewski was a Polish <a href="/facts/Chemist/N09K7Bdm">chemist</a>, <a href="/facts/Mathematician/eaFSR8Fx">mathematician</a>, and <a href="/facts/Physicist/cQcgvSIm">physicist</a>. Together with <a href="/facts/Zygmunt_Wr%25C3%25B3blewski/bkpjQElT">Zygmunt Wróblewski</a>, in 1883 he was the first scientist in the world to liquify <a href="/facts/Oxygen/acyn6o8r">oxygen</a> and <a href="/facts/Nitrogen/Nf1QpGDz">nitrogen</a>. </p>
