It was unearthed by <a href="/facts/Cornwall/9A3TftFP">Cornish</a> miners John Deason and Richard Oates on 5 February 1869 in <a href="/facts/Moliagul/dbHUrJl7">Moliagul</a>, 9 miles north-west of <a href="/facts/Dunolly%2c_Victoria/STe8daMp">Dunolly</a> in <a href="/facts/Victoria%2c_Australia/76P2nqtz">Victoria, Australia</a>. </p>
