Rustls

<p>Rustls (pronounced "rustles") is an <a href="/facts/Open_source/7X9rCdz4">open-source</a> implementation of the <a href="/facts/Transport_Layer_Security/pGy16TnA">Transport Layer Security</a> (TLS) <a href="/facts/Cryptographic_protocol/0WuyTkFo">cryptographic protocol</a> written in the <a href="/facts/Rust_(programming_language)/8JNMV19F">Rust programming language</a>. TLS is essential to <a href="/facts/Internet_security/LeTm8Wx4">internet security</a>, and Rustls aims to enable <a href="/facts/Secure_communication/XkAkCLM8">secure</a>, <a href="/facts/Network_performance/ALjfw5Nn">fast</a> TLS connections. Rustls uses Rust's enforcement of <a href="/facts/Memory_safety/sMWW6SY8">memory safety</a> to reduce the risk of <a href="/facts/Vulnerability_(computer_security)/jg0Gr71M">security vulnerabilities</a>.
