Cyclopentadienyl ligands almost invariably bind to metals as a <a href="/facts/Hapticity/7MDtzehL">pentahapto</a> (<i>η</i>5-) bonding mode. The metal–cyclopentadienyl interaction is typically drawn as a single line from the metal center to the center of the Cp ring. </p>
