<p>Morgan Edwards (May 9, 1722 – January 25, 1792) was an American <a href="/facts/Historian/5DBH5eCb">historian</a> of <a href="/facts/Religion/cxntrD0R">religion</a> and <a href="/facts/Baptist/nMKlmaVb">Baptist</a> pastor. He was a trustee in the chartering of the <a href="/facts/Brown_University/o9MRu4jx">College in the English Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations</a>, later named <a href="/facts/Brown_University/o9MRu4jx">Brown University</a>. </p>
