<p>In <a href="/facts/Digital_typography/gUPtzSnH">digital typography</a>, the Medieval Unicode Font Initiative (MUFI) is a project which aims to coordinate the encoding and display of special characters in medieval texts written in the <a href="/facts/Latin_alphabet/pqWVHpBz">Latin alphabet</a> or in <a href="/facts/Runes/NxdzMS8E">runes</a>, which are not otherwise encoded as part of <a href="/facts/Unicode/DDu3MfPV">Unicode</a>. </p>
