Peter Linz (born June 28, 1967) is an American puppeteer and actor renowned for his work with the Muppets, notably performing the character Walter in the 2011 film The Muppets. Since 1991, he has contributed to Sesame Street, eventually taking on iconic roles like Herry Monster and Ernie. Beyond these, Linz has voiced characters such as Snook in It's a Big Big World and Theo Lion in Between the Lions. After Steve Whitmire's departure, Linz assumed several Muppets roles including Statler, Link Hogthrob, and Robin the Frog. He also appeared on Broadway in Avenue Q and voiced Moz in Sheep and Wolves.

Linz was previously married to Marlene E. Rudy from 1993 until her death in 2016; together they have three children.9 He married his second wife Alice Dinnean in 2023.10
