Ray Herrmann (born September 3, 1960) is an American saxophonist from Chicago, Illinois, known for performing jazz with artists like Kathy Ball and Frank Josephs. His music, including tracks such as "Cocoon" and "Northern Lights," has been featured on The Weather Channel's local on the 8s segment. Herrmann has toured with the multi-platinum band Chicago, occasionally substituting for original saxophonist Walter Parazaider since 2005 and becoming an official member in 2016. A graduate of the University of North Texas, Herrmann was previously a Los Angeles studio musician, collaborating with legendary artists like Bob Dylan and Carlos Santana before joining Chicago.
